As we head to the end of the season, we wish all teams the best of luck, and to play hard but fair as you attempt to make quarter and semi finals. A reminder please for everyone - players, coaches and sideline supporters to be respectful to the umpires and the opposition. Play and comment positively for Technical, forget about the other team. The sidelines have been getting a little tetchy as we get to the last games. Remember, we enjoy this game. Once again, we will be basing our prize giving events at Sixty6 in Peterborough Street. Christchurch Casino operate this function room, but it has a very separate entrance and all ages are welcome. There is a cost involved, and these are charged to help recuperate food costs.
When: Sunday 10th September, 3:45pm to 5:30pm
Where: Sixty6 on Peterborough (formerly Mashina Lounge)
Cost: $5 to be paid to a nominated person
There will be a quiz, pizza and fries, and then the awards. Everyone is encouraged to dress up and enjoy. The theme this year is - Colour. Choose a colour and be creative. Players will be issued with a drinks voucher (soft drink or orange juice), plus water will be available. Can you let us know about any special food requirements in the next week. Only the team members will be supplied with food, but food and drinks will be available for purchase for anyone else. We will also be running a $2 raffle, (or 3 for $5).
When: Sunday 10th September, 6.00pm to 9.00pm
Where: Sixty6 on Peterborough (formerly Mashina Lounge)
Cost: $25 to be paid to a nominated person
We'll be starting the evening with a quiz and some nibbles, with spot prizes and more delicious food and, of course, the team prizes! Come along dressed up with a team theme based on an 'era'. Common ones have been 20's or 60's or 70's, but be creative, could be fashion or music from a particular time.
Please arrange with your team for one person to collect the money for the tickets and contact info@technicalnetball.co.nz with the number of tickets required by Friday 1st September. Drinks will be at your own cost. Prize giving should finish around 9pm.
ALL players are required to return their jacket to their Coach or Manager as soon as possible, in clean condition. Any player not returning their gear will be considered non-financial and will be ineligible to play netball in 2018 for any club until the gear is returned in good condition or satisfactory reimbursement is made to Technical Netball Club. You will be charged the current replacement cost $62 for jackets. Teams that were supplied with dresses should ensure these are returned in a clean condition to the Coach or Manager.
Coaches/Managers should return the team jackets and the team gear bag, to HSOB clubrooms in Ayr St. Ensure the bibs are clean and the gear bag cleaned out. It is quite surprising the extra stuff that gets returned. Due to the change in finishing dates, we will advise you of the return date in a separate email. However, you are welcome to return the jackets and bag to Elaine Higgs, who will most likely be found in the netball office on Sep 2 and 9.
Looking forward to seeing you all at prizegiving!
Technical Netball Committee.
